The scientific community is like a big family, each person has a passion and succeeding generations build a legacy.
It has been an honour being featured in With a Science Degree
Thank you Elizabeth @aScienceDegree !
Three tiny suspension points
Keep me hanging from a finger
From my desk.
The text was succint
and the short sentence closed
By a point
But i cannot find the real meaning
That those carefully chosen words
Few days are left
To tell the story of the little protein
That from an egg ended up in the pharmacy
And into my throat.
Small miracle of evolution, I admire you
And love you
For your stubbornness and generosity.
Noise and broken sentences
Crawl in my mind
Worrying why the job I used to enjoy
Is now a reason off dark dreams and tears.
Have I seen a part of it that disgusts me?
Is it just this broken environment I am in?
Is it inside me? Is it the situation?
I reject the whole package
And my life gets impossible,
and gets on.
I live differently,
Comfortable and unique
In my spacious 1% of opinions,
Future wishes, and behaviour.
No stream against, just a beautiful panorama
I contemplate sitting
With you, boss.
With chocolate I feed my patience
Towards inefficient professionals
And cloudy forecasts.
They define and delimit my thoughts
to what might need a decision
But can wait.
Differences reinforce my convictions
And the voice, trembling, will follow.
A shoeless child runs through the fields
In a day that holds no promise.
Clouds are unwillingly gathering
And the green is starting to vanish.
My day reached its end
With few praises and many promises.
I know it is only for today
But this empty feeling cannot be stopped.
