Tired of wearing my armour,
I rest careless on this wooden chair,
No care for winners or losers
But only for safe guardians
Of the everyday life.
Another day is over
With no fresh scars on my body
But invisible dry marks
Close to the heart.
Outside the window, people are rushing
Like salmons against the stream
And stretching their pink heart for man-created stresses.
Nothing is visible inside the lab
Where mentally free educated adults
Move and snoop the behaviour of molecules nobody else would see.
Research as the hunt for the invisible,
the getting lost in nanometers,
And drown in a cuvette.
In the ready of light
The importance of the fluorescent dots
Is in your eye and mind.
The microscopic world is alive and jumping
Into a new dimension you produced
With experience and passion.
Big plans and long thinking processes turn small into organisms and lines
Nobody has seen before.
The feeling of loss,
Dissolved in water,
Turbulent worthless water
Produces richness and value
In my little salty being.
