Sitting on a bench
For a time i cannot measure,
I taste those pauses
Of doing nothing
While enriching
My life.
Science meets poetry
Sitting on a bench
For a time i cannot measure,
I taste those pauses
Of doing nothing
While enriching
My life.
Your body whispers
A break is needed.
Reluctant and fearful
You move your body
while your mind conputes
and forecasts experimental results.
The coffee is warm
Yet fades quickly
In the run to a career.
I am starving today
For those warm afternoons running in the fields
And those silent evenings reflecting on a book.
Food for the avid mind
And food for the temperamental belly
Do not overlap
And are complementary.
Waiting and thinking
For The moment when the weight is lift.
Years and thoughts full of dust
Leave me.
What took hours, days and months
Can be released in a blink
To the surprise of an old woman
Who thought had seen everything.
