In moments of boredom or concern, seeing how beautiful the structures of nature are can reassure and inspire! I went back to my favourite molecules and selected some protein structures to bring some dynamism and creativity in our SHOP. Have a look at the NEW items with this protein!

This crystal structure belongs to the CANINE AND BOVINE GRANULOCYTE-COLONY STIMULATING FACTOR (G-CSF) that is clearly a super curly protein!

CANINE AND BOVINE GRANULOCYTE-COLONY STIMULATING FACTOR (G-CSF)

This protein is a member of the cytokine family and carries sugar modiciation (they are glycoproteins) that stimulate the differentiation and proliferation of blood cells. They are small proteins with a molecular mass of about 19 kDa and an amino acid sequence identity of about 80%.The structure is formed by alpha-helices that form an antiparallel 4-alpha-helical bundle with up-up-down-down connectivity. The human and canine proteins are really somilar in structure to each other. (ref.DOI: 10.1006/jmbi.1993.1617)
