I will step up and be the one leading,
The pink waterbear of this drop of water,
The woman that decided and prepared the meal.
She decides and is a leader.
I will be determined and swirl shamelessly
With my chubbiness and tiny paws.
Who cares what you think,
I survive draught and the space void,
I know what long term really means.
Thermostable in the summer heat.
Some proteins survive boiling,
Some enzymes live happily ever after
The long drop freezing,
Some peptides bind like a child to a mum,
I will be a curly lysozyme today,
Hard working and efficient,
Yet sweet to taste.
I will not stay awake
Or feed on chocolate
Examining your assumptions
And what is expected from me.
I will love in pajama
And cuddle my desk and computer
Like a lover does
To support and let the best grow.
I shape myself
To be as steep as a mountain roof
Not afraid of snow or weight.
The storm is far
But only the strong
Will let the heavy rain slide
on their shoulders.
Make me a protein today
To express myself in all settings.
I wish for time to make me more resistant.
I demand the stability
In a simple watery situation.
I yearn to be hard-working
And fast reaching
While selecting my companions
For a perfect fit.
Hard and strong like a Kernel
In the stream of the competition
That science has become.
Floating or settling
Talking or observing
I learn to alternate the powers
While the target slowly fades.
