Unapologetic

The word of the day is long and winding
As a whole life travel can be.
I am climbing this Everest in flip-flop
And years have passed
And yet I am restarting
to educate the old new new people
I hate.

How to

Tell me how
To smile without feeling empty
To step up without feeling alone
To express my opinion when nobody is ready to listen.
Teach me how
My idea can become everybody’s idea
And we can enjoy its success together.
Love me how
I have never tasted before
And I will always remember.

Tools

Stubborn like a child
I hide my desire to learn and practice.
I enjoy the small lessons
On work and technology
As both give the tools to navigate
Life.

On the way to the lab

The sun is shy today
And clouds seem to buffer
The full potential of a day in the lab.
Trepidation takes me there,
Expectations drive my walk to the bench,
Reasoning on unheard hypotheses
Excites my ego and hurries my hands.
