Lab team

I opened today the door
To trust and uncertainty
To give a chance to a future
I cannot imagine.
In every lab,
Peers and rivals
Put their word in the closing sentence
And hold shaky hands
in times of indetermination.

Competition drug

We are filled and addicted
by the sleepless media
And induced to Compete for the best work
And for the best life in picture.
Looking outside to monitor the others,
Loser of the losers,
I waste my day and my attention
Running blind to a nowhere.

Reality hit

Reality hits you
like a pan on the face
when you walk quietly home
or wait for a bus you do not care about.
You will feel its hit
making your eyes wet
and a sad version of your your future
come into focus.
Your legs will rebel and you will search for alternatives
from that moment on.

Today maybe

Knees at the chest,
Facing the first sun
While the hunting thoughts of the night
Vanish.
Another today starts
And with open arms
I welcome its schedules
But long for its situations of apparent impossibility
Where my mind is lit and
Rushed to a personal solution.

Women migration

A common species is the woman
In the lab
Yet it is endangered in its migration to
The office and to the empowerment.
Migration routes are undetectable
And few footprints are left on the plastic floor
For the young ones to follow.
Breadcrumbs and seeds
In a line on the floor
Are not enough.

Delusion

Freezing like never before
I face the verdict the data show.
Once a charming idea,
Note the fruit of struggle
For no juice.
Accepting the sunset of a brilliant intuition
Is hard and leaves you empty inside
For a while.
Take a breath and look away
Ponder the future and forget the past
To restart.
